8 lakh people expected to travel daily

The line, which is being built at a cost of Rs 5057 crore, will also play an important role in reducing congestion at Silk Board Junction, one of the city’s busiest intersections. The Yellow line is expected to reduce the road traffic burden on the Hosur Road Corridor, where a large number of people travel to reach the electronic city and the surrounding industrial areas. About 8,00,000 passengers are expected to move daily on this metro corridor. The root connects dense residential and industrial areas, including a 902 -acre electronic city township, where more than 300 companies such as Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Siemens are located.

3 metro trains will run every 25 minutes

Infosys and Biocon have funded the two stations- Konappana Aghara and Hebbagodi on this corridor. According to an Economic Times report, this metro line can reduce travel time by 60 percent in silk boards and parts of Outer Ring Road, where travel time has increased considerably in the last one year. Officials said that after the start of the metro service, 3 driver lace trains will run every 25 minutes on the Yellow line.

The third phase of Bangalore Metro will also be laid the foundation stone

In the same program, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the 44.65 km long third phase of Bangalore Metro, which is known as Orange Line. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 15,611 crore.
