Bengaluru police arrest Kerala native in vlogger Maya’s murder
Bengaluru police arrested Aarav Hanoy on Friday, 29 November in connection with the murder of Maya Gogoi in a service apartment in Indira Nagar. A vlogger from Assam’s Guwahati, Maya’s body was found at the apartment on 26 November.
DCP for Bengaluru East Devaraj confirmed the arrest of 21-year-old Aarav, the main accused in the vlogger’s murder case to South First. The accused, who is originally from Kerala’s Kannur, was being interrogated, he said.
The DCP said that multiple teams worked on arresting the accused who had fled the scene of the crime. “We have arrested the main accused in Maya Gogoi murder case. We are currently interrogating him. We had formed multiple times to nab the accused,” he said.
However, the top cop said that more information cannot be revealed at present and that the probe is underway.

Brutal murder of Maya
According to a press release from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) East, Maya and Aarav had checked into The Royal Living service apartment in Indira Nagar at 12.28 pm on 23 November.
The accused allegedly fatally stabbed Maya on the night of 25 November and left the apartment premises at 8.19 am, on 26 November, a day after the murder.
Aarav is a student counsellor employed at Lips Caller Overseas in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.
The accused has been arrested after three days of manhunt.
