Bhubaneswar bypass project gets approval, 110 km will pass through these major cities
Central cabinet On Tuesday, approved the construction of a 6 -lane Capital Ring Road (Bhubaneswar Bypass) project in Odisha at a cost of Rs 8307.74 crore. The project will be developed on the Hybrid Annue Model (HAM). Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed about this big decision taken in the cabinet meeting. The Union Minister said that with the construction of this 110 km long highway, the problem of increasing traffic and urban congestion between Rameshwar and Tangi will be solved.

This capital region ring road will pass through urban areas like Khordha, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha. According to the official statement, the new project will take heavy commercial traffic away from Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khordha, which will greatly benefit Odisha and other eastern states. This will increase the efficiency of Maldhulai transport, reduce logistic costs and will promote socio-economic development in the region. These projects will be linked to three National Highways-NH-55, NH-57 and NH-655 as well as a state highway SH-65.
Bhubaneswar bypass will be connected to major railway stations, airports, ports
The Bhubaneswar bypass will provide smooth contact to the state’s economic, social and logistic centers. According to the statement, the advance bypass project will strengthen multi-dimensional transport integration by connecting with major railway stations, airports, proposed multi-model logistics parks and two major ports and ensure rapid movement of goods and passengers.
Contact will be better between major religious and economic centers
On completion of this project, it will play an important role in regional economic growth and will open new opportunities for trade and industrial development by increasing connectivity between major religious and economic centers. About 74.43 lakh Direct Employment Day and 93.04 lakh indirect employment day are estimated to be created under this project.
