Bhup Lapa Laws waived Review: This new film of Rajkumar Rao will implicate you in the time loop of boredom

Director Karan Sharma’s recent film ‘Bhool Laq Laka Maa’ is an example that even good ideas and best actors do not work when both script and direction are weak.

Karan Sharma wrote and directed the film, but he had a mere 45 -minute masala to say, which he pulled into a two -hour film. The romance and comedy scenes have been created at the beginning of the film, they look so flat and stale that neither romance touches the heart nor the humor is able to bring a smile on the face.

The story is set in Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, but the sets that have been created in the name of showing the Banarasi atmosphere seem fake. In the past years, UP-based stories have been repeated in Bollywood so many times that now the characters are typed and dialogue are boring. These characters do a lot of chatter.

There are similar characters in ‘Bhool omoing omission’ who keep talking about meaningless. The level of dialogues has fallen so much that childish dialogues such as “put you in samosas” start testing the audience.

Accepted actors like Raghuveer Yadav, Seema Pahwa and Zakir Hussain are part of the film, but not a single effective scene was written for him. As a result, these artists are seen struggling on the screen, and the audience regrets that so much talent has gone like this.

The interesting aspect of the film is the concept of Time Loop, which is shown in the trailer, where Nayak Ranjan (Rajkumar Rao) wakes up every morning and finds that today is the 29th of today, while he is to be married on 30th. This part is the only interesting link of the film, but regret, it also seems to be borrowed idea that is inspired by Hollywood films.

The reason behind this mystery in the film is very superficial and ordinary. The author tried his best to make it emotional and philosopher, but the audience could not connect due to the script being weak. By the time the story of the time loop comes, it is too late. Viewers lose interest in the film and wait for when the film is over and they come out of the theater. The two -hour film looks four hours long.

It should have been that the track with time loop would be brought early in the story and the best comedy scenes would be shown on it, but Karan Sharma missed as a writer.

A strong artist like Rajkumar Rao got some good scenes, but he too could not gather color due to the weakness of the script. At the same time, Vamika Gabbi had to give the same expressions almost the same throughout the time, which does not show the limit of his acting but the author’s lapse.

The film tries to touch social issues such as unemployment, government job craving and mentality to get a government servant as the son -in -law of the girl’s father, but these issues have been kept in such a superficial manner in the script that there is no depth in them.

Ishtiaq Khan leaves a lot of impact, but his character is also limited to a limited range.

The songs of the film seem forced and only the excuse for the break. Cinematography and editing are also average, which also makes the film look technically faded.

The script, direction and character of ‘Bhool omoing Maaf’ are so weak that even interesting concepts like Time Loop do not save the film from drowning.
