A major announcement has been revealed among the Indo-England Test series. In fact, 22 -year -old Nitish Kumar Reddy has been appointed as the captain of Bhimavaram Bulls for Andhra Premier League 2025.
Currently, India-England (IND VS ENG) Test series is going on and Nitish is part of the Indian Test team. He has come into the limelight after getting the captaincy at such a young age. Now it has to be seen how strong this experience with the national team makes them on the captaincy front in the domestic league.
Nitish Reddy becomes the second youngest captain
Nitish Reddy has now become the second youngest captain in the history of Andhra Premier League. Prior to him, this record was named after Sheikh Rashid, who was handed over the captaincy at the age of just 19. Rashid has also been a part of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
The Andhra Premier League 2025 will start from 8 August and its final will be played on 24 August. A total of 7 teams will participate in the tournament – Amravati Royals, Bhimavaram Bulls, Kakinada Kings, Royals of Rayalaseema, Wizack Lions, Tungabhadra Warriors and Vijayawada Sunshiners.
All 19 matches of Visakhapatnam, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy will be played at ACA-VDCA Stadium. This stadium is known for its best features and tremendous appearance of the audience. The tournament will be a big platform for young players to prove themselves.
Bhimavaram Bulls’s eye on the title
Three versions of the Andhra Premier League have been played so far and Costal Riders, Rayalaseema Kings and Waizag Warriors have won the title. This time Nitish Reddy will command Bhimavaram Bulls and the team will be eyeing winning its first title.
