According to the news, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will be inaugurated once perfectly prepared. This expressway will start from Akshardham in Delhi. Then it will go to Dehradun via Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The special thing is that it will also become easier for Delhi to go to Delhi from these cities of Uttar Pradesh.
17,913 trees have to be cut in construction
According to the news, in fact, Uttarakhand MP Naresh Bansal had sought information from the ministry about the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, in response to which Gadkari said that the expressway will be completed by October 2025. According to the information, 17,913 trees had to be cut in its construction. However, to compensate for this, the work of planting trees on 157 hectares of vacant land is also going on. At the same time, NHAI has also planted 50,600 trees during its construction.
Minimum speed 100 km per hour
The Union Minister said that this expressway has been prepared to run at a speed of at least 100 km per hour. According to the report, the construction of the expressway has been completed by about 93% so far. Let me tell you, a 12 km high wildlife corridor has been built above the Rajaji National Park falling on the way. 113 underpasses, 5 rail overbridges, 76 km service road, 16 entry/exit points have been created on this expressway. The total length of this expressway is 210 km.
