A contract has been signed between Paytm and UP Road Transport Corporation to provide great benefits to those traveling by roadways bus. Paytm users can book tickets online on 3 thousand routes under this scheme. UP Roadways passengers can book tickets through Paytm on routes like Lucknow Delhi, Lucknow Gorakhpur, Delhi Haridwar, Lucknow Agra, Lucknow Varanasi. UP Roadways also operates buses in Tripura, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha etc. You can avail the benefit of booking tickets on those routes also.
1000 buses will be added to UP Roadways
The UP government has started the process of equipping the Roseways buses in the state with new facilities and adding 1000 new buses to the fleet. The Transport Department official has said that a budget of Rs 400 crore was approved to add 1000 buses in the UP State Road Transport Corporation in the year 2023 to 2024. In the recent meeting, approving the fleet of buses, an installment of Rs 200 crore out of Rs 400 crore has been released.
It has been told by the Transport Department that the target is to complete the process of purchasing 1000 buses and their inclusion in the fleet within Financial East 2023-2024. After the inclusion of new buses in the fleet, traveling in UPSRTC buses will be more comfortable than before.
