India’s neighboring country Bangladesh has been continuously continuously. After the coup of Sheikh Hasina, the interim government was formed in Bangladesh under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus. Muhammad Yunus said- “I am telling the citizens of the country that the election will be held on any day in the first fortnight of April 2026.”
Sheikh Hasina government was counted
Let us tell you that there were very violent demonstrations in Bangladesh. After this, in August, the political coup of the Awami League government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was made. Sheikh Hasina came to India after this. She has been living in exile in India since then. According to the information, this first election is going to be held in Bangladesh since this entire rebellion.
Doubt over Awami League contesting elections
Sheikh Hasina’s party will not be able to participate in the elections to be held in Bangladesh. The reason for this is that last month, the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus has banned the Awami League. This action has been taken under the anti -terrorism law. This decision has been considered a major setback for Sheikh Hasina. According to the information, this ban on the Awami League will remain until the ongoing hearing against the party and its leaders in the International Crime Tribunal is completed.
