Bihar Election 2025: The administration has become completely alert for the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. In this regard, the Chief Secretary of the state Amrit Lal Meena held a high-level review meeting, in which a detailed strategy was prepared to strengthen law and order and control crime. He gave clear instructions that peace should not be disturbed under any circumstances in the state and the election process should be completed without any disruption.
Campaign against goons, smugglers and land mafia
The Chief Secretary said that strict action should be taken against elements challenging law and order, such as land mafia, smugglers and notorious criminals. He instructed the Superintendents of Police of every district to conduct a special campaign against such elements. For this, a special cell will be formed at the Superintendent of Police level, which will gather information of criminals from various government departments. He directed to conduct a wide campaign to seize (attach) the assets of the absconding criminals and arrest them.
Crunt on illegal liquor and weapons
The Chief Secretary, particularly ordered a continuous raid campaign against illegal liquor business. Apart from this, vehicles were also asked to intensify the investigation campaign, especially when there is more possibility of movement of criminals in peak hours.
The Chief Secretary also asked to take strictness towards arms license and intensive investigation of arms shops. He directed to verify arms licenses and shops before elections in all districts.
On this occasion, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar said that those who have been found guilty under the Arms Act should be issued notice within a month and strict legal action should be taken. He said that if found guilty, licenses of the concerned vendors should be canceled immediately so that crimes related to it can be stopped in future.
Order to accelerate SC-ST cases
The Chief Secretary and DGP expressed concern over the slow pace of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) cases. He directed all the Superintendents of Police to settle the pending cases in ‘Mission Mode’ and the victims should be given justice soon. Special investigation teams will be activated in this direction, which will arrange for hearing and settlement on priority of these cases. Along with this, all necessary arrangements should be improved in the buildings identified for the stay of paramilitary forces, so that the forces do not have any kind of inconvenience.
Senior officers were present in a high -level meeting
This important meeting was attended by Bihar Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Singh Gunjial, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar and Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Kundan Krishnan. The basic objective of the meeting was to ensure that the assembly elections were concluded in a peaceful, fair and systematic manner.
