Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced that the establishment of a modern Fire Testing and Training Center has been approved in the state at a cost of ₹ 18.67 crore. The center will open new doors of vocational training in the fields of fire services, disaster management and fire safety for the youth of the state. The objective of this initiative is to create technically efficient human resources, so that the youth can get better employment opportunities.

Mr. Chaudhary said that this new center will fulfill all the needs related to fire safety along with increasing technical efficiency. With this, the youth of Bihar will not only get guidance towards employment, but they will also get information about modern security techniques.

He said that the Bihar government has planned to establish the first “Center of Excellence for Fire Testing, Training and Research Laboratory” in the state, taking a historic decision. This initiative is considered a big step towards making Bihar self -sufficient in this region.

Under this scheme, a total of ₹ 17.36 crore will be spent on building construction, procurement of state -of -the -art equipment and development of infrastructure. At the same time, ₹ 1.31 crore will be spent every year for the operation and maintenance of this center for the next five years. This amount will be used in fulfillment of human resources, technical staff and administrative needs.

Emperor Chaudhary also said that the Bihar government is under constant efforts to strengthen the fire services of the state and promote research, testing and training in areas associated with fire security, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This center is a strong and inspiring step in this direction.
