Imphal: The Bharatiya Janata Party government can once again be formed in Manipur. Here the BJP has claimed to form the government. The Governor has been met by 10 MLAs today. After this meeting, there is hope of ending President’s rule in Manipur. The 10 MLAs who have met the Governor include 8 BJP, 1 and 1 independent MLAs of NPP. These MLAs met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at the Raj Bhavan of Imphal.
Formation of popular government-Nishikant Singh
After meeting the Governor, Independent MLA Sapam Nishikant Singh said, “People want a popular government and that is why we have come here to meet the Governor. We also discussed other things, such as the functioning of President’s rule after the formation of the popular government could not remain the same as before. Mainly and originally, the main issue was the formation of a popular government. The reaction of the Governor was also good.
Please tell that on February 13 this year, Manipur Chief Minister N Veere Singh resigned. After which President’s rule was implemented in the state. Nearly 103 days have passed since President’s rule came into force in Manipur. After this, the claim to form a new government again by the BJP again was presented. This political stir in Manipur has taken place at a time when PM Modi is going to visit North East to participate in the Jubilee celebrations to be held on 29 May.
Former Chief Minister’s ‘Z-Plus’ status intact
Meanwhile, the Manipur administration on Wednesday, former Chief Minister N.K. Refuting the claims of the security cuts of Biren Singh, it was clarified that only additional security personnel posted with him have been called back. He said that Singh continues to get ‘Z-Plus’ security cover. Under this security, a pilot and behind a security vehicle are included in the convoy besides stable guards at home.
According to officials, Singh is provided round the clock by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), a specific central armed police force that is responsible for the protection of important establishments and high-profile people across India.
