Muskan Aggarwal, actress of ‘House Arrest’ web series, has spoke openly about his career, discrimination against women in the industry and criticism for bold content. In an interview, Muskan told that he is often judged for his past work, but he never took it seriously.
Muskan said, “I do not roam with a rejection. If someone feels that I am just an actress of Ullu or Altt and I have just done bold scenes, I do not pay attention to such people.”
He also emphasized that gender bias (gender discrimination) in the industry is still intact. According to the smile, “Boys get more freedom. They do a day’s role, serial, experiment, everything goes. But if a girl does this, she is heard 50 things… ‘You were in the lead role’, ‘Your budget is low’, etc.
He also said that the thinking of the audience has not changed much. “The thinking of viewers and haters is still there. But to be honest, I love my haters because because of these I got the real fame. People still want to see the bold girl, but they are unable to say openly.”
Muskan also targeted the double standard running in the film industry. He said, “If Trupti Dimri does this, it is called ‘Pure Art’. Ranbir Kapoor is a ‘craft’. But if we girls, suddenly it becomes a ‘problem’. It has always been in the duplication industry.”
When asked if he felt pressure to prove a ‘serious actress’, Smile replied very clearly, “Bold and sensual scenes are much more difficult than normal acting.
