When the theater became the first step of life

At the age of just four, Kirtana entered the acting world. His innocent performances won the hearts of the audience in all Kannada films and serials like ‘Karpurada Gombay’, ‘Ganga-Yamuna’, ‘Upendra’, ‘Habba’, ‘Lady Commissioner’. He was seen as a popular child artist in Karnataka. Although Kirtana was shining on the screen, there was another dream in his heart, the country service. Honoring his father’s wish, he left acting and turned to Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS). In 2011, he passed the exam and worked as a KAS officer for two years, which set his way forward.

Success from failures

The new journey started from the year 2013. He started preparing for UPSC. He failed in the first five attempts, but did not break his courage. In the sixth attempt, in the year 2020, he finally waved the success and achieved the 167th rank. It was not just to pass one exam, it was like winning its inner trust. After becoming IAS, Kirtana was appointed as Assistant Commissioner in Mandya district. Here, he proved with his actions that to become a good administrator, not only books, but also sensations are required. Currently, Kirtana is posted in the Chief Executive Officer Office, District Panchayat, Chikkamgaluru.
