How did this shooting location become a horror spot?
There have been many horror films from Hollywood to Bollywood, which the condition of good gets worse to watch alone. But, do you know about films and artists who have truly shooting at a haunted location. There used to be a shooting location in Mumbai, which was really considered ghost. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan to Bipasha Basu have worked at this shooting location. We are talking about Mukesh Mills located in Colaba, Mumbai, where many films were shot and many actors faced scary events while working here.
Bollywood’s most scary location
The shooting location was closed for shooting in 2019. It is one of the most scary locations of Bollywood, which was closed by BMC. The lock on the Mukesh Mills Compound by the BMC was put on the lock, because its condition was very bad. However, in this location, people were afraid to work here even before the shooting stopped, due to the history of this compound and the events that happened here.
Fire was set in 1982
According to a report by the Conde Nast Traveller, Mukesh Mills was founded in the early 1990s by Mooljibhai Madhwani, owner of East African Hardware Limited. This is when many mills were built in the surrounding areas of Mumbai. This mill was built on the banks of the sea and during this time there was no other mill around it. Years later in 1982, the mill caught fire and many laborers working in it were killed. The campus was also completely ruined.
Amitabh Bachchan’s superhit song filmed in this mill
Let me tell you, the superhit song ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ of Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Hum’ (1991) was filmed in this mill. Apart from this, the song ‘Whistle Baja’ from Tiger Shroff’s film ‘Heropanti’ was also shot in this mill. A scene of Sanjay Dutt-Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Sadak’ was also shot here. Amitabh Bachchan shared his experience of shooting at Mukesh Mills and wrote- ‘Old-fashioned machines are still present in a large hall. The drums designed to keep raw materials are scattered here and there. The rusty iron items which have probably destroyed the fire are perfect to create a scary scene in the dark through a cameraman’s lens.
Bipasha was scared
Bipasha Basu was to do a scene of the film ‘Pavement’, which was being shot in Mukesh Mills itself. During this time she was severely scared and left the shooting. He had said- ‘I had to shoot for the pavement in Mukesh Mills. It was considered scary. I had to shoot in the second floor of the campus. I usually did not forget my dialogue, but that day I was alone in one room and all the rest were in another room. I had to speak while moving forward, during the time I felt as if I was stopping something. I was taken out of the set and gave holy water and similar things. ‘
Kamya Punjabi also mentioned the scary incident
Kamya Punjabi, while sharing his experience of working in Mukesh Mills in a conversation with India Forums, said that he lost his precious items on the very first day of shooting and then his car also deteriorated. But, she was stunned when a girl who worked as prisoners in the mental asylum suddenly started reacting as if she had a ghost. His voice became masculine and she completely changed. I wanted to see the girl, but I was stopped from going to her. Kamya said that she was so scared of the incident that she had left the idea of going there again.

Ayushmann Khurrana shared a post on Instagram a few years ago, in which he mentioned Mukesh Mills. In his post, he told that he had heard some stories about this location. People avoid shooting here after dark, as they feel that this location is haunted.
