After getting necessary approval, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department has started preparations for land acquisition in six districts- Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura and Purnia for the Patna-Purnia Greenfield Expressway project. According to NHAI]according to Section 26 (3) of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 before starting the land acquisition process, directed to revise the land on the basis of market value in the area. In this context, under the sub-rules 7 of the Bihar Stamp (Amendment) Rules, 2013, in the light of the notification, the Department of Alcoholism, Products and Registration Department has been empowered to a special amendment of MVR (registered minimum price).

An estimated cost of Rs 18,042 crore

Let us tell you that the 90 meter wide Greenfield Expressway will be built on Purnia-Kishanganj National Highway-27 at an estimated cost of Rs 18,042 crore. Patna-Purnia Expressway will also connect with Amas-Darbhanga Road in Vaishali and will connect with Patna Ring Road in Dighwara. A total of 21 large and 140 small bridges, 11 roads upper bridges, 21 interchange and 322 underpasses will be built under this project. At the request of the state government, bridges will be built to connect Samastipur, Saharsa and Madhepura cities with this project. The prescribed speed limit on this route will be 120 km per hour. The expressway will also connect Bihata Airport through a bridge between Dighwara and Sherpur and eventually connect to Darbhanga and Purnia Airports. Once completed, the expressway will reduce the travel time between Patna and Purnia from at least seven hours to three-four hours.

It will be easy to travel to Delhi

With the construction of this expressway, people coming from Delhi to Bihar will be easy. This expressway will be connected to Bihta Airport. Also, Dighwara, who was part of Patna Ring Road, will be connected to this expressway, so that people will be able to visit Delhi easily via Purvanchal Expressway. After this expressway is built, the people of Purnia will reach Delhi by road in 15 hours.
