Brydon Carse Distract Shubman Gill:
An interesting incident occurred on the first day of the second match of the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy being played between India and England at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. In the second session of the first Test, when the Indian batsmen were batting comfortably, Bridan Karse tried a strange way to confuse Shubman Gill.
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Shubman Gill saved himself from this confused act of Bridan Karse and the umpire declared the ball a ‘dead ball’. Its video is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

Gill caught cars cunning
The incident occurred just before the fourth ball of the 34th over. English fast bowler Bridan Karse was seen pointing to a no-ball with his left hand in the run-up. Shubman Gill immediately sensed this action and withdrew from his batting position at the last moment. Although Karse bowled the ball, the umpire declared it a ‘dead ball’.
However, soon after the incident, Bridan Cars on the next ball came very close to taking the wicket of Shubman Gill. Cars bowled a brilliant ball which hit Gill’s pad directly. There was a strong appeal from the English team and the on-field umpire first gave not-out. After this, England captain Ben Stokes decided to take a review. However, in the replay, the Indian captain’s bat showed a slight edge, causing Gill to get life and the English team’s appeal was rejected.
