British embassy reacted in India to aircraft accident in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad plane crash: Air India aircraft has crashed in Meghani Nagar area near Ahmedabad Airport in Gujarat. The aircraft was going to London and crashed shortly after flying. The aircraft had 242 people, including 10 crew members. Immediately after the accident, a large bubble of black smoke was seen in the area. Air India crashed aircraft were 169 Indians, 53 British, 1 Canadian and seven Portuguese citizens.
What did the British Embassy say
The British Embassy in India has also reacted to the aircraft accident in Ahmedabad. The British Embassy said, “It is learned that a flight from Ahmedabad to London has crashed near Ahmedabad Airport. We are working with local authorities to establish immediate facts and provide assistance. Our condolences are with all those who have been affected by this incident. ”
Aircraft showed down
The Boeing aircraft was seen coming down immediately after flying and then crashed in the Meghani Nagar area near the airport. The emergency response teams immediately reached the spot and started immediate rescue, withdrawal and fire fighting operations.
What did Air India say?
AI posted a post on ‘X’ said, “Ahmedabad-London Gatwick’s flight number AI 171 crashed on 12 June 2025 today. Currently, we are finding out the details and soon we will share further information on our website as well as X handle. ”
