Kavya resigns
A day earlier, Kavita’s father and BRS chief K.K. Chandrashekhar Rao suspended him from the party. After this. Kavita on Wednesday submitted her resignation from the post of Legislative Council member to the Speaker. After resigning, Kavita made a sharp remarks against senior leaders including her cousin T. Harish Rao. His brother and former minister K.T. Addressing Rama Rao, he said, “I urge Ram Anna to take care of the health of KCR and party workers.”
In a press conference, Kavita described her father and BRS chief KCR as her “inspiration” and credited him for justice to Dalits and backward classes in Telangana. He said, “Is ‘Bangaru Telangana’ not for the welfare of all sections of the society?” Kavita alleged that she was being targeted under the intrigues within the party. He said, “I pleaded with Ramanna and said that false propagation is being done against me from inside the party office. When there was no response from my own brother, executive president, I understood the situation.”
He directly accused Harish Rao of conspiring with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and claimed that “when Harish Rao caught Revant’s feet during the Delhi tour, the seeds of these conspiracies were sown.” He also alleged that Harish Rao had old relations with former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and described him as “not a distress, but a double weapon”.
Kavita warned her father and brother that Harish Rao and Santosh are people who “want your loss”, and said that the party can survive only by sidelining them. He urged KCR, “Don’t sacrifice these conspiracies.”
The BRS suspended Kavita on Tuesday, as he openly accused Harish Rao and former MP J Santosh Kumar of conspiring against his father and former Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao. The party said that his acts are against his policies and principles.
The suspension and resignation of the poem has been between the internal turmoil that has been going on for weeks. He had earlier accused the internal people of the party of conspiring to remove him from the post of Honorary President of Telangana Boggu Ghani Personnel Sangham (TBGKS) and described the decision as politically motivated. He also accused senior leaders of imposing “corruption” on KCR and trying to weaken the party from inside.
