BSE’s new app to be made your friend, free will get an investment train

Stock Exchange BSE Limited today announced the launch of ‘BSE Investment Friends’, which is a free investment teaching app developed under the aegis of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Developed by BSE, the app is independently operated, ensuring that learning remains purposeful, fair and purely educational, promotional or investment is free from advice objectives.

Designed as a simulation-based teaching platform, the app provides a safe and informative environment for new and interested investors, so that they can better understand equity and mutual funds markets using a virtual currency for investment.
It is available to the common people and does not require trading accounts or prior investment experience. SEBI Executive Director Shashi Kumar Valsakumar and BSE MD and CEO Sundarman Ramamurthy were also present on the launch.

Created with clear attention to investor awareness and education, BSE investment allows friend users to follow the market participation in equity and mutual funds using real historical data according to SEBI guidelines.

Valsakumar said that educating investors is a major task for SEBI and this app is part of a wide mission to build a financially informed population and promote responsible investment. With BSE Investment Friends, we now have a practical tool that is free and accessible to all that introduces new investors to the realities of market participation without risk.

Ramamurthy said that investors are the major areas of focus for awareness and education BSE and BSE Investment Friends is setting up a benchmark of how exchange investors can play an active role in education. By equipping individuals with knowledge and confidence to navigate financial markets, the app is an exchange contributor to the creation of a more inclusive and strong investment ecosystem.
