The 5G service of BSNL may be launched in next month i.e. August. The company is going to do something big next month. BSNL has announced this with its official X handle. In its announcement, the company has spoken of improving the digital experience of users. The launch of 5G service of government telecom can increase the tension of private companies Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea. BSNL service is cheaper than private companies, due to which private companies may lose users.

Review meeting will be held every month
The government has started preparing to revive BSNL and MTNL. Speaking in Parliament, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that BSNL’s review meeting was held for the first time in the Indian telecom sector, including Union Minister of State for Communications and Union Minister of State for Communications.
Now there will be a review meeting every month, which will be chaired by Minister of State for Communications. At the same time, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will chair the quarter review meeting. The company has been instructed to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU). The review meeting will monitor the innovation of mobile service, decentralized decision making and circle-specific progress.
Prepared to compete with private companies
The Union Minister said that BSNL should now be ready to compete with private companies. For this, a target of 50 percent growth should be set for consumer mobility business. The government telecom company has been in profit since the last two quarters. After a long gap, BSNL has joined the list of profit making company.
Talking about mobile business, the company is going to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) by 50 percent. However, the company will not make its plans expensive for this. The company’s average revenue is between Rs 40 and Rs 175 per user. At the same time, the ARPU of private companies is currently in the range of Rs 200. Most of BSNL users come from rural areas. The company’s usbase in cities is extremely low.
BSNL added millions of new users last year due to the decision not to increase the tariff. However, later many users have switched from BSNL to private companies again. BSNL has set up 1 lakh 4G/5G towers to improve connectivity. The company will set up 1 lakh more new towers.
