Haridwar, 19 October (Hindustan Reporter). In Haridwar, the district administration on Saturday demolished an illegally constructed tomb-like building by using a bulldozer. Which was built illegally on the land of Tehri Dam Rehabilitation Scheme.

This entire demolition action was done under the leadership of SDM Ajay Veer Singh on the orders of District Magistrate Karmendra Singh. After the action, the district administration has warned that illegal constructions done on government land will not be spared in future also.

Haridwar district administration has taken major action against illegal construction on government land on Saturday afternoon. The administration demolished the tomb built illegally on the land of the Irrigation Department in Rajpur village of Bahadarabad block of Ranipur Kotwali area with a bulldozer. This action has been carried out under the leadership of Sub-District Magistrate Ajay Veer Singh and in the presence of a large number of police forces.

The mazar was built illegally as a big building on government land, which was a gross violation of rules. The Deputy District Magistrate said that this action has been taken by the administration as part of the campaign to remove illegal encroachments. He warned that illegal constructions done on government land will not be spared and strict action will be taken to remove such constructions in future also. Continuous action is being taken against encroachment in the state. Even before this, Haridwar district administration has vacated illegal encroachments in Gram Sabhas and demolished many illegal tombs built on government land.

Manish Singh, the nodal officer of Haridwar district’s Remove Encroachment Campaign, said that no permission was taken from the district administration to build the tomb, whereas the Supreme Court has directed that after 2016, permission from the District Magistrate is required for the reconstruction or reconstruction of any religious place. It is necessary.
