Bus going from Kolkata to Patna overturns, seven dead
Hazaribagh. This morning, a passenger bus going from Kolkata to Patna went out of control and overturned in Gorhar of Barkatha block of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Seven passengers died in this accident, while more than 25 are reported to be injured. SP Arvind Kumar Singh has so far confirmed the death of seven people in the accident. According to sources, during the construction of the road, the construction company has cut the road and abandoned it. Due to this the bus went out of control and overturned in the pit.
Hearing the screams, nearby villagers arrived and with the help of Gorhar police station, the injured were taken out. The largest number of dead are said to be women. It has been told that this bus (WB 76A1548) of Vishal company was going from Kolkata to Patna. Crashed before reaching the destination.
As soon as information about the accident was received, DSP Ajit Kumar Vimal, Gorhar police station in-charge, Barkatha police station in-charge along with their forces reached the spot. After this, relief and rescue operations were intensified. The injured are being taken to the nearest hospital and given first aid. State BJP President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has expressed grief over this accident. He prayed to God to provide speedy recovery to all the injured people and give peace to the departed souls at His feet.
