New Delhi: Rakshabandhan will be celebrated in the country on Saturday i.e. August 9. On this occasion, women will not get tickets in government buses of many states. Some states will have free tickets for two days and in some states for three days. However, bus service is free for women in Punjab and Karnataka. At the same time, in Delhi’s DTC buses, only women of Delhi travel for free. Let’s know where the service will be free.
Three days free bus service for women in UP
On Rakshabandhan, women will be able to travel free in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and city bus service buses. CM Yogi himself announced this. On behalf of CM Yogi’s office, told that mothers and sisters will be able to travel for free from 6 am on August 8 to midnight at midnight. Adequate number of buses will be deployed in both urban and rural areas to ensure smooth journey during the festival. Adequate buses will be run in urban and rural areas.
Two days free bus service in government buses of Haryana
On the festival of Rakshabandhan, women and children up to 15 years old will be provided free travel facility in Haryana Roadways buses. Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday that a proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. Vij said that along with ‘ordinary buses’ running within Haryana, free travel will be available in buses going to Chandigarh and Delhi. This service will be available from 12 noon on August 8 to midnight of August 9.
Women will be able to travel for free in Rajasthan government buses
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced a free journey for women in the buses of State Transport Corporation on 9 August and the next day on Rakshabandhan. According to an official statement, this free travel facility will be available to women within the border of Rajasthan on 9 and 10 August. Under this initiative, women will be allowed to travel free for two consecutive days in the buses of Transport Corporation for the first time. Earlier, he was allowed to travel free only on the day of Rakshabandhan.
Free service in Chandigarh
In Chandigarh too, women will travel on Rakshabandhan for free. The facility will be applicable in all local AC and non-AC buses operated by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) and Chandigarh City Bus Services Society (CCBSS) in the Tricity Area (Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula). This concession will not be valid on the long route buses of CTU running outside the tricity border.
Travel free in Uttarakhand
On Rakshabandhan, women will be able to travel for free in Uttarakhand Transport Corporation buses. Every year in the government buses of Uttarakhand, women and young children do free on Rakshabandhan. This series will continue this year too.
Free journey in Karnataka, Punjab and Delhi too
At the same time, free travel facility for women in government buses of Karnataka, Punjab and Delhi is already there. Therefore, on Rakshabandhan, women will be able to travel for free in government buses.
Good news for women of Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh also has good news for women on Rakshabandhan. On August 9, Bhopal City Link Limited will get women travel for free. At the same time, the Mayor of Indore has said that women will be able to travel for free on Rakshabandhan.
CM Mohan Yadav has given a big gift to Ladli sisters on Rakshabandhan. Today, 1500 rupees will be received in the accounts of Ladli sisters. An additional Rs 250 of Rakshabandhan is also being sent to Rakshabandhan with the 27th price of Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana. An additional 250 rupees are being given as Shagun of Rakshabandhan. More than 28 lakh sisters will also get 43.90 crores for gas cylinders.
