Cabinet meeting- Sixth semiconductor unit of the country approved

The sixth semiconductor unit of the country has been approved in a cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi. This unit will be installed in jewelry in Uttar Pradesh for Rs 3706 crore.

HCL and Foxconn will jointly create this unit. The plant will have mobile phones, laptops, automabels, personal computers, and display driver chips for other display devices. 3.6 crore chips will be made every month.

The India Semiconductor Mission was launched in 2022. Under this, 6 projects have been approved so far. Construction work is going on fast. Students of 270 educational institutions and 70 startups are learning semiconductor technology through the latest tools.

Last cabinet meeting was held on 30 April
Earlier, the caste census was decided in the cabinet meeting held on 30 April. It will be done with the original census. After the announcement of caste census, Rahul Gandhi had said- finally the government has spoken about caste census. We support it, but the government has to tell its deadline. We got the cast senses in Telangana, it can be made a model. We have to go beyond cast census. Which caste has to know how much stake is in high positions.

Socio-economic calculation was done in 2011, data not released

The socio-economic and caste census was conducted in 2011 during the Manmohan Singh government. It was done by the Ministry of Rural Development, Urban Development Ministry and Ministry of Home Affairs. However, the data of this survey was never made public.
