Let me tell you that on 23 June 1985, Air India’s flight 182 ‘Kanishka’ going from Montreal to Delhi via London caused a terrible explosion near the coast of Ireland. The blast took place just 45 minutes before the aircraft reached Heathro Airport in London. All 329 people aboard the aircraft were killed due to the explosion, most of them were Canadian citizens of Indian origin.

India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also recalled this horrific attack, sharing a post on the social media forum X. He wrote that Air India 182 bomb blasts are one of the most gruesome incidents of terrorism and reminds the whole world that there should be no softening of terrorism.
