Initial treatment was done in India, but when the condition deteriorated, he was taken to America. His condition improved a bit during treatment, but then suddenly declined and he was brought back to India. Nargis died in Mumbai on 3 May 1981. The sad thing is that she could not see the release of her son Sanjay Dutt’s debut film ‘Rocky’. His death had a profound impact on Sanjay Dutt. The mother’s death broke them from inside, causing them to become very unstable mentally. This was the time when he got into drug addiction, which affected his entire life. Richa Sharma started living in America with her daughter Trishala due to illness, while Sanjay was in India. Richa Sharma died in New York on 10 December 1996. He was only 33 years old at that time. Richa’s untimely death not only broke Sanjay and Trishala, but also shook the film industry. Even today, Sanjay Dutt remembers the memories associated with his first wife and daughter very sensitively.

When Sanjay Dutt also became a victim of cancer

Sanjay Dutt revealed lung cancer in August 2020. He was admitted to the hospital after complaints of breathing shortage and chest pain. After investigation, doctors said that they have stage 4 cancer, which is considered a very critical condition. Hearing this news, his family, fan and film industry got deep shock. On the advice of doctors, Sanjay Dutt decided to get treatment in Mumbai itself. He took chemotherapy and other modern medical procedures at Kokilaben Hospital. During treatment, he told people through social media that he is fighting firmly and will return to healthy soon. His family, especially wife Manyata Dutt supported him at every turn. After nearly two months of hard chemotherapy and treatment, in October 2020, Sanjay Dutt officially announced that he had been cancer -free.
