Car fell into a ditch near Shimla, father-son death; Family was returning home from marriage – Cross Talk India

A car fell into a ditch about 100 meters deep near Reii in Chaupal subdivision of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, killing one person and his son riding in it, while three others were injured. Police officials said the accident occurred on Wednesday morning when 5 people were returning home after attending the wedding ceremony.

Treatment of 3 injured continues in IGMC Shimla

The deceased were identified as Ramlal Sharma (55) and his son Deepak (28). According to the police, Ramlal’s wife, Rajesh Sharma and Pankaj Sharma have been injured. He was rushed to a government hospital in Chaupal from where he was referred to IGMC Shimla.

Car fell uncontrollably into the ditch

It is being told that the people in the car were going from Malle village towards Pulbahal, but before reaching the chaupal, the car uncontrolled and fell into the ditch near the nursery. Local people reported the case to the police as soon as the incident was reported. Police reached the spot and took out the car riders from the ditch. Two people had died on the spot. The administration has given 25-25 thousand rupees to the family of the deceased as Mall Relief and has given a relief amount of Rs 10,000 to the injured.
