The report of the panel investigating the cash case from Justice Yashwant Verma’s house has come to light on Thursday. It states that High Court Judge Yashwant Verma and his family members had a secret or active control on the store room. It was here that a large number of half -edged notes were found after the fire on the night of 14 March.

The panel report states that this reveals the bad behavior of Justice Verma, which is so serious that he should be removed. At the time of the incident, Justice Verma was a judge of the Delhi High Court and is now working in the Allahabad High Court.

A panel of three judges headed by Chief Justice Sheel Nagu of Punjab and Haryana High Court investigated for 10 days. 55 witnesses were questioned and visited the official residence of Justice Verma.

The report also said, keeping in mind the evidence on the record, the committee agrees that there are enough facts in the allegations made in the CJI’s 22 March letter. The allegation is so serious that action should be initiated to remove Justice Verma.

10 eyewitnesses saw half the burnt cash, including Delhi Fire Service, police officers. All of them saw piles of burnt notes in the store room of Justice Verma’s house.
Electronic evidence (video-photos of the store room) confirm the statements of eyewitnesses. Justice Verma has also not denied the video taken at the scene.
Justice Verma’s two domestic workers Rahil/Hanuman councilors Sharma and Rajinder Singh Karki took out the burnt notes from the store room. The viral video has made the voice of both of them match.
Justice Verma’s daughter Diya made a wrong statement about the video. The employee refused to recognize the voice, while the employee himself admitted that the voice was his.
No one could come without the permission of the family, so it is almost impossible to keep a note in the store room of a judge, as 1+4 security guards posted at the gate and a PSO monitoring at all times.
Justice Verma called the incident of getting cash from the store room a conspiracy, but did not report to the police. Silently accepted transfer to Allahabad High Court.
There was no account of cash, Justice Verma was unable to give account of it. Rather it said that someone had conspired against him.
Government impeachment motion against Justice Verma in the monsoon session, but not official information

The central government is also considering bringing impeachment motion in Parliament against Justice Yashwant Verma in the cash case case. In May, the news agency PTI quoted sources associated with the government as saying that the proposal could be brought in the monsoon session starting after July 15. However, the government is still waiting for Justice Verma to resign himself.

The then CJI Sanjeev Khanna recommended impeachment
