CBSE New Rule: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) approved the draft rules related to conducting board examinations from 2026 to 10th grade twice a year. Officials said that the draft rules will be put on a public platform and stakeholders can give their opinion by March 9, after which the policy will be finalized.

According to the draft rules, the first phase of the 10th grade board examination will be held from 17 February to 6 March 2026, while the second phase will be held from 5 May to 20 May 2026. A senior board official said that the entire syllabus will be included in both the examinations. Students will be allotted the same examination center for both stages. The examination fee will be increased and both the examinations will be charged from the students while filing the application.

According to the official, the first and second phase of the board examination will also serve as supplementary examination and no special examination will be conducted under any circumstances. Language edited by: Sudhir Sharma
