According to the police, this fake call center was opened in Noida only 20-25 days ago. The mastermind of this call center has run this racket in Dehradun also.
Fake call center exposed
DCP Noida Rambadan Singh told in the press conference that Police Station Sector-113 has exposed a fake call center running in Sector-117. Foreign citizens were being cheated through this call centre. 11 people have been arrested from the call centre. During this period, 19 laptops, 20 mobile phones, 3 headphones, 5 SIM cards, 1 Wi Fi router, D-Link, 1 TP Link and other equipment have been recovered from the call centre.
Trying to find out about bank account
He told that the master mind running the call center has already been arrested for running a fake call center in Dehradun. He told that the modus operandi of this racket was that whenever there was a glitch in a customer’s system, he used to contact the call center on the internet. Call centers used to sell customer calls to these fake call centers for two to two and a half thousand rupees. People sitting in fake call centers used to take payment from customers through gift cards, gold or crypto currency and then they used to reach them through Hawala or wallet.
