Samsung has introduced its latest budget smartphone, the Galaxy A16 5G, in India. This device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and comes with the promise of six operating system updates.

The Galaxy A16 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It comes with 8GB of RAM, with storage options up to 256GB, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. Samsung has also guaranteed six OS upgrades and six years of security patches for this model. This device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and comes with the promise of six operating system updates.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A16 5G is equipped with a triple-lens system on the back. It includes a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there’s a 13MP front camera.

This smartphone is 7.9mm thick, slightly slimmer than previous models, which were 8.4mm thick. It is IP54-certified, making it resistant to dust and splashes. Additionally, the phone comes with Samsung’s Knox Vault for security, and it supports the Samsung Wallet feature, allowing Tap and Pay through NFC.
The Galaxy A16 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging. According to Samsung, the battery can last up to 2.5 days on a single charge.

The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy A16 5G is priced at Rs 18,999, while the version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is available for Rs 20,999. The phone comes in Blue Black, Gold, and Light Green colors, and is available for purchase on platforms like Samsung’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart, and other retail outlets. Customers using Axis or SBI credit cards can enjoy a discount of up to Rs 1,000 when buying the phone.
