During this time, devotees worship Chhathi Maiya and Lord Suryadev duly. According to the Panchang, Chhath Puja is starting from Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month i.e. 5th November and this fast will end on Ashtami i.e. 8th November. During this time, it is considered best to worship Chhathi Maiya and Suryadev. There are some tasks during Chhath Puja which should not be done even by mistake, otherwise the fast and puja do not yield any results and Chhath Maiya gets angry, so today we are telling you about them.
Do not make these mistakes during Chhath Puja-
According to religious beliefs, Prasad should be taken only after worshiping Lord Suryadev and Chhathi Maiya. Taking Prasad before that can break the fast. Apart from this, one should not touch any puja material without taking bath as it may break its purity. In such a situation, touch the puja material only after taking bath.
Stop eating Tamasic food in the house even before Chhath Puja. Under no circumstances should one consume non-vegetarian food, smoke, alcohol etc. in the house, it is not considered good. Consuming garlic and onion should also be avoided during Chhath Puja. During Chhath Puja, one should not use an old basket even by mistake, it is not good to do so.
