The Meteorological Department said that excessive rainfall is forecast in the northwest, central, eastern and northeastern parts of the country for the next seven days. The monsoon usually knocks in Kerala on June 1 and reaches the entire country by July 8. Its return starts from northwest India around 17 September and returns to 15 October.
Orange alert issued in Delhi
Earlier, IMD issued a ‘Orange’ alert for Delhi, expressing light to moderate rainfall. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is expected to be around 37 ° C. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 86 am on Saturday, which falls in the “satisfactory” category.
