Chief Justice BR Gawai arrived in Mumbai on Sunday. The Chief Secretary, DGP and Mumbai Police Commissioner did not arrive to receive them. On this, he expressed disappointment in the Bar Council program.

CJI Gawai said, ‘I am disappointed that the big officers of Maharashtra do not follow the protocol. The judiciary, legislature and executive are all three pillars of democracy. All these should respect each other.

The Maharashtra-Goa Bar Council in Mumbai held CJI’s honor ceremony. CJI Gawai, while addressing the gathering in Marathi, expressed deep gratitude for the love and affection for him. Prior to this, he also visited Chaityabhumi Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial in Mumbai.

CJI Gawai became emotional amid speech

During the speech, CJI Gawai became emotional after seeing the respect and love of the people for himself. He said- I am very grateful to everyone. I am overwhelmed by the love and respect I have received. I have been getting this love for 40 years. Today’s ceremony is unforgettable. I am not able to find words to express my feelings.

On 14 May, when I took oath as the Chief Justice of India, Maharashtra showered a lot of love on me. People from all over the state expressed their desire to watch the ceremony, but due to the limitations I could not include everyone.

CJI said- All three columns should respect each other

The country has not only strengthened, but has also developed on social and economic fronts and continues to do so.
The original structure of the country is strong and the three pillars of the Constitution are the same. All the organs of the Constitution should respect each other.
Neither the judiciary, nor the executive and the Parliament are supreme, but the Constitution of India is supreme and the three organs have to work according to the constitution.
