New Delhi: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting a 2 -day visit to India on Monday and during this time new confidence remedies for permanent peace and stability on the disputed border between the two countries will be discussed. Wang’s journey is being seen as part of the ongoing efforts by both neighboring countries to recover relations. After the 2020 conflict in the Galwan, relations between India and China had deteriorated.
Why is Chinese tour of India important?
This visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is also considered important because it is taking place amidst increasing tension in Indo-US relations due to US President Donald Trump imposing duty on Indian imports. The Chinese Foreign Minister is mainly coming to India for a new round of Special Representative (SR) dialogue on the border issue with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Wang and Doval are special representatives nominated for border talks.
PM Modi will visit China
China’s Foreign Minister will also meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. It is believed that the two sides will also use the occasion to prepare the land of China to attend China to attend the annual summit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 August and September 1. According to the plan, Prime Minister Modi will probably go on a visit to Japan on August 29 and after finishing the yatra, he will go to Northern Chinese city Tianjin for the summit to be held on 31 August and September 1.
