Travel from a common girl to ‘Lady Superstar’
Nayantara’s real name is Diana Maryam Kurien. He was born in a simple Malayali Christian family in Karnataka. His father was an officer in the Indian Army, due to which his childhood was spent in different cities. Although the beginning was simple, Nayantara’s luck brought him to extraordinary heights. His film career started in 2003 with the Malayalam film ‘Manasinakkare’, which immediately drew him the attention of the audience. After this, he stepped into Tamil cinema with the 2005 Tamil film ‘Ayya’ and there was no need to look back for him. Nayantara gave hit films one after the other in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films and established herself as a powerful female lead.
Pan India stardom from ‘Jawan’
In the year 2023, Nayantara made a Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan through the superhit film ‘Jawan’. The film was not only a commercial blockbuster, but also created history by earning more than Rs 1,000 crore. Nayantara became a Pan India star with this film. Although his success story in films has been inspiring, his personal life has also often been in the news. Originally associated with Christianity, Nayantara adopted Hinduism at the age of 27. He duly converted through worship and took his name legally ‘Nayantara’. The actress wanted to marry in the Tirupati temple, but this could not happen. The actress was married, but the destination she had to choose separately.

Nayantara’s name was associated with many celebrities during his film journey. His relationship with actor Silamban (Simbu) and choreographer-director Prabhu Deva was very much discussed. Although these relationships were not married, in 2022 they married their long -time partner and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The couple welcomed the twin sons through surrogacy.
