Civic Elections in Uttarakhand BJP-Congress face to face over delay in civic elections in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand News Desk!!! Civic elections are to be held in Uttarakhand, but the date has not been decided yet. Now both the parties, Congress and BJP, are blaming each other for the delay in civic elections. When BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt was asked about the delay in civic elections, he instead put the opposition Congress in the crosshairs on the question of civic elections not being held on time. Mahendra Bhatt said that Congress should first tell that it has ruled the state twice. When did he conduct the civic elections on time? According to him, many new bodies have been formed in the state. In such a situation, all the processes including reservation are going on. As soon as this process is completed, elections will be conducted.
BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt said that Congress should not raise questions on civic elections not being held on time. Because he himself has not conducted the elections on time. When Deputy Leader of Opposition in the House Bhuvan Kapri was asked, he said that the BJP President should not say this. According to him, instead of saying what Congress did and what not, they should tell what you did. Why are you not able to conduct elections? And the responsibility of conducting civic elections lies with the government and not the opposition.
