CJI BR Gawai has made a big comment on the rainy situation in Delhi. Gavai said, “In Delhi you know what happens, if it rains for two hours, the whole city gets paralyzed”

The Supreme Court also questioned the jam that took 12 hours on a highway in Kerala, said that if a person takes 12 hours to reach from one end of the road to the other, then why should he give the toll.
CJI Gawai made this comment during a hearing in a toll plaza of NH 544 in Thrissur district of Kerala. In fact, the High Court suspended toll recovery due to the poor condition of the highway. This decision of the Kerala High Court has been challenged by NHAI in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has reserved the decision on NHAI’s petition.

What was the matter, what did CJI say

CJI Gawai, Justice K. The case in which the bench of Vinod Chandran and Justice NV Anjaria was hearing on Monday is a case related to the order of Kerala High Court to stop the toll recovery in a high way. The High Court had stopped the toll recovery due to poor road conditions and the Supreme Court reserved the order on NHAI’s petition against it. Meanwhile, a lawyer mentioned the jam outside the Supreme Court, on which Chief Justice Gawai has made this big comment related to the rain.

The court had reluctant on the hearing of the petition on August 14 and said how toll can be taken from people here, while the road is not in good condition. Because of this, people have to get stuck in a long jam and how much problems people have.
