Cloud burst in Dharali in Uttarakhand

Kheer Ganga village has been swept away due to cloudburst in Dharli in Uttarakhand. The incident took place at 1.45 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Many videos and photos of the incident have surfaced. It is seen that rain water and debris came from the hill and in 34 seconds, the whole village was shed.

DM Prashant Arya of Uttarkashi said that so far 4 people have been reported to have died. More than 50 people are missing. Many people are reported to have been buried. Dharavi village is 218 km from Dehradun and 10 km from Gangotri Dham. Army along with rescue team SDRF, NDRF has also reached the spot.

People started screaming after seeing the flood of water
As soon as the flood of water came towards the village, there was a scream among the people. Water and debris have entered many hotels. Dharali Bazaar has been completely destroyed. Many hotel shops have collapsed. It has been raining heavy for the last 2 days. CM Dhami said that we are keeping an eye on the situation.

The Uttarkashi administration said that another cloud was cracked in a happy top near Dharali. At present, not much information has been revealed about this incident.

Due to floods in Kheer Ganga of Dharali, there has been waterlogging in the area of Harshil Helipad. The lower parts of Uttarkashi can pose a risk of floods. People need to be cautious on the banks of Bhagirathi.

SDRF Commandant said- Rescue is facing problems due to rain
Bhaskar reports Vaibhav Palanitkar spoke to SDRF Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi regarding the Dharali incident. He said that SDRF teams have reached the spot. It is raining continuously. Because of this, there is a problem in the rescue. A large number of debris has come with flood waters. The Indian Army, SDRF, ITBP and police teams are working together with coordination.

SDRF Commandant also said that Dharali is a very geological challenge. There is a very difficult task to do relief rescue work. The weather has been the biggest challenge, it is raining continuously. It gets very cold at night. Because of this the rescue is challenging.
