The sudden flood in the Kheer Ganga river was so destructive that it completely shed five hotels. It is feared that 10 to 12 laborers may also be buried under the debris. There is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area due to this terrible incident. District Magistrate of Uttarkashi Prashant Arya said that there were many hotels and restaurants at the place of cloudburst. He also told that some tourists are also stranded there.

He said that SDRF, NDRF, and district administration teams have immediately gathered for relief and rescue operations. They are constantly in touch with the officers and are keeping an eye on the situation.
