Cluster University Jammu hosted inter-collegiate power lifting and weightlifting competitions

Jammu, 21 November H.S.). Cluster University of Jammu organized inter-collegiate power lifting and weightlifting (men and women) competitions at Government SPMR College of Commerce. Professor Pawan Gupta was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony while Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education and Sports, CLUJ, was the guest of honor.

Dr. Chetna Gupta, Professor Sanjeev Verma, Professor Isha Abrol, GCOE Physical Director Ramandeep were also present in the competition. The competition was organized under the supervision of Ravi Kumar, Physical Director, Government SPMR College of Commerce. In the weightlifting women’s category, the team of Government SPMR College of Commerce became the winner while PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar was the runner-up. In the men’s category, Karanjot Singh of GGM Science won the gold medal and Hetendra Singh of GCOE won the silver medal.

In women’s powerlifting, the team of Government SPMR College of Commerce became the winner of the tournament while PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar was the runner-up. In the men’s category, Government SPMR College of Commerce became the winner of the tournament while GGM Science was the runner-up. The competition was conducted by Ajay Sharma, Deepak Jyoti, Akash Kath and Rahul Sahni.
