Haridwar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived by tractor to take stock of flood affected Luxor and Haridwar. To inspect the flood affected areas, CM Dhami also rode on the boat and reached among the people and heard their problems.

CM Dhami tweeted on his official X handle that the flood affected areas of Luxor (Haridwar) conducted terrestrial inspection with the help of a tractor and boat. During this, the local people met and heard their problems and assured them for effective operation of relief works.

At the same time, the officials were directed to ensure immediate relief and rehabilitation work and ensure proper arrangements for the safety, housing, food and health facilities of the affected people. The farmers were also instructed to start the compensation process soon after assessing the crop damage done.

Instructions to speed up relief and rehabilitation operations

It was told from CM office that Despite the difficult situations, the Chief Minister conducted terrestrial inspection of rural and submerged areas through the tractor and interacted with the affected families and inquired about their problems. The Chief Minister directed the district administration and disaster management officers present on the spot to speed up relief and rehabilitation works. He said that the safety of the affected families, residence, food and health facilities should be made. He clarified that no negligence in relief work would be accepted.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. Prevention and relief operations will be given priority and all possible assistance will be provided to the affected families. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of waterlogging, damaged roads, broken bridges and houses surrounded by water.

Compensation will be given in case of crop loss of farmers

CM said that there should be adequate arrangements for relief camps, in which facilities for food, water, medicines and cleanliness are available. Families who need to be taken to a safe place should be transferred immediately. The compensation process should be started soon after quick assessment of crop damage done to farmers. Medical facilities should be ensured by setting up health camps as required.
