CM Mohan Yadav told- When will Bhopal metro start for common people? First train will run from vegetable city to AIIMS
Bhopal There is good news for people living in. The date of starting Bhopal Metro has come. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself has given information about this. On Sunday, CM Mohan Yadav inspected the ongoing work of the metro from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS station. During this, he also traveled in the metro. After this, he informed that Bhopal Metro will be opened for the common people at the time of Diwali i.e. October. He informed that he has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration of Bhopal Metro. Hopefully, we will announce the date as soon as we get a date from them. This project is in the final stages.
Train service will start first in 7 km
The initial priority section is 7 km long and connects eight elevated stations between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS Bhopal. Some of the main features of metro services include facilities for lift and disabled travelers at stations. The Bhopal Metro project costing about Rs 6,941 crore includes 27 train sets, out of which eight have already reached. Recently, the metro has received its first necessary certification after successful evaluation by the Lucknow -based Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO). This service will be started after receiving the final authority from the Railway Safety Commissioner.
Metro in Bhopal after Indore
Metro service has already started in Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Now metro service is going to start in Bhopal too. CM Mohan Yadav said that the construction of Phase I and II of Bhopal Metro, including Orange and Blue Lines is aimed at completion by 2030. The design speed for Bhopal Metro is kept at 90 km per hour. However, the operational speed can be 40 to 50 km per hour. The train will stop for 2 minutes per station.
