Complaint filed against Union Minister Gopi in Kerala
The Kerala Students Union (KSU) on Sunday filed a complaint in the Thrissur East Police for disappearance of Union Minister and MP from Thrissur from the parliamentary constituency.
According to KSU District President Gokul Guruvayur, Suresh Gopi has not been seen in the area since the arrest of two Kerala nuns in Chhattisgarh. Gokul said,

On 25 July, Chhattisgarh Police arrested Nun Preeti Mary, Vandana Francis and Sukaman Mandavi from Durg station on charges of conversion and human trafficking. However, on August 2, he was released by the NIA court. There has been a discussion on the statement of leaving the post of minister after the Gopi oath.
On 9 June 2024, Suresh Gopi was made the Minister of State in the Modi cabinet. On the second day, he was given the work of the Ministry of Tourism and Petroleum. A Malayalam TV channel quoted Gopi as saying that he does not want to become a minister. They just want to work as an MP.
The channel had told that after winning the Lok Sabha elections, the actor had said that he would not leave the film industry as acting is his passion. They already have some film project pipelines.
However, Gopi had denied this claim on social media posts. Suresh wrote on X- Some media platforms are spreading wrong news that I am going to resign from the Modi government’s cabinet. This is completely wrong. Under Modi ji, we are committed to the development and prosperity of Kerala.
