Complaint of Ruhfaza- Ramdev only made the video private

Yoga guru Ramdev’s syrup jihad case was heard in the Delhi High Court on Friday for the second consecutive day. Hamdard told the Delhi High Court that Ramdev’s video against Ruh Afja has not been removed from YouTube, but has been made private i.e. the YouTube channel subscribers can still watch it.

The lawyer appearing on behalf of Ramdev said that the video will be removed within the 24 -hour time given by the court. However, Hamdard also argued that the video is also being shown on Aastha Channel. The matter will now be heard in the court on May 9.

Earlier on Thursday, the court expressed displeasure over the second video of Yogguru, saying that Ramdev is not under anyone’s control. They live in their own world.

On April 3, Baba Ramdev called Ruh Afja a ‘Sherbet Jihad’ without naming the Hamdard Company. After this, the dispute increased. Ramdev posted two videos on social media.

Baba Ramdev launched Patanjali’s syrup on 3 April. He said on the social media platform x that a company makes syrup. The money that is received from it makes madrasas and mosques. Baba Ramdev had said that just as love jihad and vote jihad is going on, so sherbat jihad is also going on.

Ruh Afza Sharbat making company Hamdard filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against this statement. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi argued on behalf of the company. Rohatgi said that this is an attack on the name of religion.

Rohatgi said that Ramdev has attacked the Hamdard Company on the basis of religion through his statement. He took the name of Sherbet Jihad. Ramdev’s name is famous, without the evil of any other product, he cannot sell Patanjali goods. This statement has surpassed evil, it does religious partition. Ramdev’s comment is similar to the Hate Speech.

Rohatgi reminded of the case of misleading advertisements and said that the Supreme Court had ordered Ramdev and Balakrishna to apologize to the people. Rohatgi said that confusion was spread among the people through advertisements and also made statements against allopathic medicines.
