Congress leader’s former PA caught on suspicion of espionage

Security agencies in Jaisalmer have arrested a government employee on suspicion of espionage. Government employee Shakur Khan is a clerk (Babu) in Mangalia District Employment Office. It is alleged that he went on a visit to Pakistan without telling his department.

Shakur Khan is a resident of Dhani of Mangalais, Baroda village. He has also served as a personal assistant (PA) of former minister and Congress leader Saleh Mohammed in 2008. At that time Saleh was an MLA from Mohammad Pokaran.

Shakur was caught by security agencies from the employment office on Wednesday. He was questioned for his visit to Pakistan. After interrogation in Jaisalmer, he took him to Jaipur at night.

It is being told that he is not cooperating in the investigation, so security agencies in Jaipur will interrogate him.

Here, on this matter, Rajasthan BJP posted on X (Twitter) and sought a reply from Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara.

Pakistan’s visit to Pakistan increased doubt
According to the information, Shakur Khan went to Pakistan some time ago without departmental permission. Security agencies have become quite cautious after the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor and are keeping an eye on every suspicious activity.

On the basis of this suspicious activity of Shakur, security agencies have detailed him. Despite Shakur being a government employee, he is being questioned on visiting Pakistan without informing the department.

Not cooperating in investigation
Shakur Khan was intensively questioned by the Joint Investigation Committee (JIC). Various investigative agencies have tried to get to the bottom of the matter. However, it is being told that Shakur did not cooperate in the investigation.

Actually, Jaisalmer is considered a sensitive area due to being close to the Indo-Pak border. At present, no official statement has been revealed in this case.
