Congress weakens space mission: Nishikant Dubey
The opposition also created a ruckus on Tuesday over voter verification and vote theft in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. During the discussion on the successful Space Mission, BJP MP in the Lok Sabha Nishikant Dubey said that the Congress weakened the country’s space mission at the behest of America, China and Pakistan while in power.
He said that the Congress wrongly arrested Kerala’s famous ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan in 1994 through CBI. This conspiracy caused a lot of damage to India’s space program. Therefore, the Congress does not want the subject to be discussed in the House.
Earlier, speaker Om Birla tried to run the Question Hour amid slogans in the Lok Sabha. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh also answered some questions, but the ruckus did not stop. At the same time, the Mines and Mineral Amendment Bill 2025 passed in the Rajya Sabha.
The proceedings of both the House were adjourned till 11 am on August 20.

Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill 2025 were passed in the Rajya Sabha. This bill has already been passed before the Lok Sabha. After this, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 11 am tomorrow.
IIM Amendment Bill passed in Lok Sabha
A bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Guwahati. For this, the central government will provide assistance of Rs 550 crore. The Indian Institute of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was passed in the lower house amid uproar.
