Cookies making unit purchase scam, Collector gave notice of termination of service to District Project Manager of Livelihood Mission

District Manager Small Entrepreneurship Development and in-charge District Project Manager Rural Livelihood Mission Akhil Shukla was found guilty of providing inferior machines at higher prices to Saraswati Livelihood Mission of village Tilsani of Kundam district panchayat in collusion with the supplier through watershed livelihood item and bank loan. The members of Saraswati Aajeevika Group themselves had made this complaint to Collector Deepak Saxena in a public hearing about fraud by supplying substandard machines at higher prices. Taking this complaint seriously, the Collector had instructed the CEO of the District Panchayat to investigate on the spot.

Investigation found that in-charge District Project Manager Akhil Shukla, in collusion with Ritwik Jain of supplier M/s S.S. Beniprasad Dharamchand Jain, handed over a cookie making unit worth Rs 2 lakh 53 thousand to Saraswati Livelihood Mission for Rs 10 lakh 06 thousand. During investigation, the quality of these machines was also found to be poor. CEO District Panchayat told in the investigation report that the machines of the cookie making unit were not installed properly. Nor was their training given to the group members.

Along with this, a payment of Rs 2 lakh 12 thousand 400 was made to the supplier of the spiral mixer included in the cookie making unit, whereas during investigation, a China made machine was found at the site on which a price of Rs 22 thousand was also marked. Collector Shri Saxena has issued a notice of termination of service to the District Project Manager in-charge in this matter of causing financial loss to the women self-help group and tarnishing the image of the administration and asked him to appear in the Collector’s office on 29th November at 11 am and present his side. Given an opportunity to present.
