Hyderabad: A leader of the Communist Party of India was shot dead on Tuesday morning in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. According to the information, CPI leader K.K. Chandu Naik went out on the morning walk. During this time some crooks came from the car and targeted them and fired. The CPI leader died in this incident. At the same time, the police team also reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Police have recovered cartridges from the spot. Police say the case is being investigated. CCTV footage is also being investigated.
Shot shot during morning walk
A senior police officer said that the Communist Party of India (CPI) State Council member K.K. Chandu Naik (47) went on a morning walk. Meanwhile, he was passing by a park, when the car -riding attackers opened fire on him. The CPI leader died in this attack. After the incident, the accused escaped from the spot. A police team reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The case is being investigated. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East Region) S Chaitanya Kumar inspected the spot. He citing preliminary investigation said that the incident was carried out by at least three to four people. Three cartridges used from the scene and two without used have been recovered.
Ten teams formed for investigation
The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that on the basis of the recovery of the cartridges, it seems that only one weapon was used in the shootout. He said that the police teams are investigating the CCTV footage installed in the area to identify the suspected accused. He further stated that the reason for the murder could be the old rivalry. According to the police, ten teams have been formed to investigate the case and to catch the attackers. Police said the deceased Chandu Naik was accused in a murder case registered at LB Nagar police station in 2022. Naik did not file any complaint of danger to his life. (Input-PTI)
