Crack in MVA alliance before Maharashtra elections, seat sharing issue between Congress and Uddhav Thackeray

Maharashtra News Desk!!! Assembly elections 2024 have been announced in Maharashtra. Opposition Alliance of India (MVA) and NDA are trying to reach a consensus on the seat sharing formula. Meanwhile, there is news that everything is not well in MVA. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut alleged that seat sharing will have to be discussed with the Congress high command as local Congress unit leaders are not able to discuss seat sharing. Let us tell you that the real reason for the dispute between the two parties is the 28 seats in Mumbai and East Vidarbha. Congress has refused to give even a single seat to Shiv Sena Uddhav in East Vidarbha. Congress’s argument behind this is that after the separation of Shiv Sena, the party no longer has that much influence. In such a situation, a situation of war of words has arisen between the two parties. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena is demanding seats in Mumbai which Congress has never won, but Congress is not ready to give them those seats.

Dispute over seats in these areas

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said that there is dispute on 28 seats. He assured that the matter will be resolved by the Congress high command. Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut’s reaction added fuel to the fire. Raut said that more than 200 seats have been decided but some constituencies are in dispute. The local leadership of Maharashtra Congress is sending every decision to Delhi for approval.

Sanjay Raut talked to Rahul Gandhi

Sanjay Raut said that we do not have much time left. I feel that the leaders here are not capable of taking decisions. They send the list to Delhi for approval, but time has passed. We need to take quick decisions. Raut said that he has spoken to Rahul Gandhi and urged him to speed up the process. Raut said that despite differences on seat sharing, the parties will have to come together to defeat the BJP.

Nana Patole hit back

Meanwhile, Congress President Nana Patole, reacting to Sanjay Raut’s statement, said that there is no rift in the alliance. He said that there are differences on some seats, but the final decision will be taken by Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Sanjay Raut’s leader is Uddhav Thackeray and our leader is Rahul Gandhi. We send information on seat allocation to our high command. I will not comment much on Raut’s statements.
